Regular and punctual attendance is the foundation of academic success and disciplined
learning. Our school emphasizes the importance of maintaining consistent attendance
throughout the academic session.
1. Mandatory Minimum Attendance
- As per CBSE guidelines, a minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory for all students in each academic year.
- Students falling short of the required attendance may be debarred from appearing in the final examinations, except under special circumstances approved by the Principal and supported by valid documents.
2. Regular and Punctual Attendance
- All students and staff are expected to be present on all working days.
- Students should arrive before the first bell rings and attend the morning assembly without delay.
- Habitual latecomers may be marked absent and may face disciplinary action.
3. Leave Application Protocol
- Leave must be informed in advance through:
- A written leave application signed by the parent/guardian, or
- A request via the school’s digital portal (if applicable).
- Sudden absence due to emergency must be communicated to the class teacher or office on the same day or as early as possible.
4. Medical Leave
- In case of prolonged illness (3 days or more), a medical certificate from a registered doctor must be submitted upon return.
- Students recovering from contagious diseases must submit a fitness certificate before resuming classes.
5. Uninformed Absence
- Students who remain absent without prior information may be marked as truant.
- Frequent uninformed absences or long unexplained leaves may result in:
- Parent notification
- Written warning
- Removal from school rolls in extreme cases
Reminder:
Parents are requested to ensure their ward maintains regular attendance and avoids unnecessary absenteeism, especially before and during examinations.
